MOD NOTES
Just a few things from Chai to point out for the upcoming month! They are the usual general reminders to go over!

★ A reminder that players can add their own tags to the network and log communities! So, have at it! Tag all the things!

★ The flora & fauna submission mechanic is available! While originally new creatures/plants needed to have a sexy stamp for approval, you now just need to link your character claim (or check-in) comment if you want to start adding to it. Give me more horrifying beasties, please.

★ The calendar for January has been updated!

★ Due to the amount of drops, sweeps, etc. we have lowered the player cap back to 40. There are currently a few slots available though! Invite your friends to come on down to the sinulation for a good time!

CRAU: Victory Road
AU Clarification: First and foremost, Victory Road has imparted to Dirk patience regarding his separation from cannon, not to mention limitations imposed on his powers by outside forces--ie, by DWRP. It's even granted him a degree of tolerance for canonmates not Epilogues-current and therefore void of relevance as measured through "canoncity." He even learned to love again, which is incredible considering his obsession with and inability to get over (or get back together with) Jake English. Unfortunately, the man who stole Dirk Strider's heart is none other than Emet-Selch FFXIV (played by the same person who plays him in Amani. I would not be doing this otherwise. Lmao.) The two of them found mutual comfort in each other as equally "complete" beings tasked with duties requiring immense moral, personal, and emotional sacrifice. Sacrifice not just of their lives, but in many ways, of their selves. Sacrifice which was demandeded of them specifically, and which could only be completed by them, because of who they were. Lonely existences, to be sure. But it was actually good for Dirk, being valued and even validated by someone who wasn't projecting on him wildly, or demanding he re-shape his person to their expectations or needs, or otherwise using him emotionally or narratively. He managed to learn a little self-acceptance. Let himself have fun, even. He wrote and directed a movie, which is actually just IRL movie Willy's Wonderland, but Pokemon themed.

And despite Dirk's vicious resistence (both to the "man" and to polyamory), their relationship grew to include Hythlodaeus' shade... which had disastrous consequences for Dirk, at least, when said shade vanished and was replaced by the actual person. Then Emet canon updated to the end of his duty, and Dirk's fear of abandonment... uh......... what was I talking about, again? Pokemon? Yeah. There were Pokemon there. Some of them were horses. Cool shit.

And finally....

Game Plan: Dirk will not be shocked he's dead, but he may or may not actually believe he's dead. Having the Narrative, even outside of canon, implies that he is still canon. There's only one Ultimate Self, you know? It's fine, though. He's done this before, and what is or isn't will be revealed and/or solved when it's revealed and/or solved. He's got this.
Interested in: Dirk is 50% "extremely vanilla but overwrought about it" and 50% Dead Dove Do Not Eat. I am equally interested in both, honestly. I love to write Dirk having an entire fucking episode about the "inherently submissive" nature of sucking dick. I love writing any kind of sex from Dirk's ridiculous POV. I also love Dirk grappling with the extremely vast and extremely pathological array of kinks that course through his multiself, and his... uh, various urges and how they reflect on him. Agonised self awareness and the profound lack thereof. Personhood, and lack thereof. What is "real." How the fuck this guy can be so endlessly horny while doing all that all the goddamn time. Also, he's 30 now? He definitely isn't having a midlife (or end of life) crisis about that.

Anything else?: I am dead serious about this: nothing weird or aversive will be written without a WHOLE FUCKING LOT of communication and player consent. He's perfectly capable of sticking to puppets and camera-spying and handjobs he hates (or hates not hating, or something.) This is a trust fall for me, lmao, I'm probably more scared of other players than they are of me. I vastly prefer to play it safe. :T
